Rideau Lumber is proud to be a member of the Smiths Falls community.  We sponsor the Smiths Falls Bears hockey team, as well as the Rideau Lumber Redmen baseball team.   The materials that went into the construction of the Central Grandstand in Lower Reach Park were all donated by Rideau Lumber.

Take a moment to stroll through the Garden of Faith located in front of the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital.  There you'll find a heart-shaped patio stone configuration.  Rideau Lumber was a proud donor of these patio stones. We are also proud to sponsor the Hospital's annual golf tournament which takes place every year.

We are also honoured to be involved in Roger's House.   Since Roger Neilson's passing in 2003, the Ottawa Senators Foundation has been working to make his dream a reality - to provide pediatric palliative care for children with progressive, life limiting illnesses and to provide support for the families of these children.   Visit the Ottawa Senators Foundation for more information.  On behalf of Home Hardware dealers in Eastern Ontario, we raised nearly $50,000 in donations and delivered these materials to site. 

 

We are actively involved with both the Upper Canada School Board and the Catholic District School Board offering placements for Co-op students.  Many of these young workers end up with summer jobs each year.

Rideau Lumber is also a member of the Lanark and Leeds Home Builders Association was established in 1991 to promote high quality and professionalism.  The association provides local homeowners with a network of reputable home building professionals, who guarantee high quality services.

 
 The Rideau Environmental Action League (REAL) is a not-for-profit community
 organization formed in 1989.  It conducts environmental projects within the
 Town of Smiths Falls and Lanark, Leeds and Grenville counties, as well as
 promoting environmental improvements to raise public awareness.  Rideau
 Lumber is proud to be involved with this important group.
