To complement the energy efficient ICF
structure we can provide for you - we are also pleased to be able to offer
EnerWorks Solar Water Heating Appliances. These appliances are suitable
for both new or replacement residential applications and operate as the
primary source of your hot water. Your existing electric, natural gas,
propane or oil hot water heater then functions as a backup heating source.
An average household can generate an
average of 2 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year using traditional water heating
sources. The use of Enerworks Solar Water Heating Appliances can help to
reduce emissions of these harmful greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and help
to limit the effects of climate change.

Solar Hot Water Appliances are one of
the most cost-effective renewable energy systems on the market today. In
North American, an average person can use approximately 70 litres of hot water
per day. This equals approx. 3600 kwH use per year for water heating.
A home with a Solar Hot Water Appliance can save a family of four approximately
50% on their hot water costs, and helps contribute to a cleaner environment.
If you participate in the Natural Resources Canada's ecoENERGY home
retrofit program, you may be eligible to receive a $500 rebate from your
purchase of a Solar Hot Water Appliance. For residents of Ontario, the
provincial government will match this incentive, for a total rebate of $1000 if
you participate in the ecoENERGY home retrofit program.
